The Noble Gases

Which are the noble gases ?

The only elements that are unable to form any kind of compound are the three noble gases, helium (He), neon (Ne), and argon (Ar).

For many years it was thought that none of the noble gases could form any compounds. However, it has been discovered that it is possible for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe), and radon (Rn) to form compounds with fluorine (F) and, in some cases, with other elements that have a high electronegativity.
