Impossible Synthesis Reactions


There are millions of different combinations of elements that can react to form a compound.  However, the following combinations of elements cannot react to form a compound:

1.  Two metals cannot react to form a compound.

2. The noble gases He, Ne, and Ar never form compounds.  The other noble gases (Kr, Xe, and Rn) only form compounds with highly electronegative elements (F, Cl, and O).
